Roena + Aiden – Perth Quarry Farm Wedding

Rustic farm glory for Roena and Aidan

Soft pink pastels with native flowers were all the rage at Roena and Aidan’s farm-style wedding held on 5 September 2021, where just 45 minutes from Perth city, Quarry Farm was turned into an event for the ages of this gorgeous couple.

Set on 200 beautiful acres, the bride and groom prepared for their special day in separate lodgings on the property, and I headed off to take photos of Roena getting herself ready with her bridesmaids. With the final bits of corset laced up, the veil secured, and bridal bouquet in her hands, portraits were first and foremost.

The rustic cream and wooden brown colours of the interior set the scene, giving me a fantastic backdrop to work with as I began to take photos of the bride with her beloved bridal party. I also managed to grab pre-wedding photos of the groom and his groomsmen before they made their way down to the ceremony location.

A classic white gazebo down by the farm’s private lake awaited guests and Aiden for the intimate nuptials under cloudless blue skies. A cocktail-style ceremony, everyone anxiously anticipated the arrival of Roena, and before we knew it, the flower girl’s petite stature appeared over the quaint little bridge, guiding the bridal party to the gazebo with her trail of petals left behind.

One by one, the bridesmaids made their way until the bride graciously came over the wooden bridge, making her way towards her husband-to-be with a smile brighter than the sun. Her proud father walked her the final few metres to the gazebo, and the ceremony under a romantically rustic atmosphere began.

With personal vows said, an exchanging of the rings and the first kiss, it was time for the official signing of the marriage documents – done, might I add, in the most spectacular way with a solid wood desk near the lake!

Following cheers of joy from the crowd, celebratory congratulations from guests, and group shots with loved ones, it was time for me to take the bridal party for their official post-ceremony photos; and Quarry Farm certainly didn’t disappoint with all its amazing structures and landscapes!

By now, everyone had relaxed and we got a stack of brilliant photos from everyone. This location speaks wonders and provides an abundance of picturesque spots, so we made sure to take advantage of as much of the space as we could – from the barn to a line-up of Jacaranda trees and an open field perfect for sunset photos.

Without having to go anywhere at all, Roena and Aidan’s reception was also held at Quarry Farm with the rustic theme flowing throughout. As the sun made its way down to get ready for night, I snuck in a few guest shots, unable to resist the beautiful backdrop.

But soon after some time refreshing themselves, the newlyweds entered the reception hall for dinner, drinks, speeches and the cake cutting.

Roena and Aidan, thank you for allowing me to be your official wedding photographer for your special day. I wish you both an amazing marriage, and hope the wedding album provides all those wonderful memories for you to share with close friends and family.
